Petroula Quinn – Psyhcologist

Petroula is a very caring and empathic Psychologist who has been helping people overcome life difficulties for over 11 years and has worked in private practice for the past 7 years. She has a special interest in working with people presenting with Anxiety and Trauma, having worked in a trauma-focused NFP organisation helping families who have experienced abuse and violence for 5 years. Her work experience includes providing individual counselling with those affected by mental health problems, as well as couples therapy and helping those impacted by physical injuries and chronic pain.

Petroula draws from a range of therapeutic modalities to create individualised treatment plans that considers the personal strengths and challenges of each person. Her preferred modalities include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

She creates a warm and respectful environment to help clients work through their struggles and to learn better ways to cope. She is passionate about helping clients work towards living a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Naim Bireroglu – Podiatrist

Naim has completed a Bachelor of Health Science/Mastering in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Western Sydney. His experience covers alls scopes of podiatric care including biomechanical, chronic disease, pediatric and general podiatry. He has worked in many different settings including mobile podiatry, high risk in public hospital setting both local and internationally as well as having extensive private practice podiatry experience. His love of sports (including basketball and powerlifting amongst many other sports) has also fueled his interest in sports biomechanics in which is his most experienced scope of practice.

Personal Interests – Outside of work, Naim enjoys playing basketball, powerlifting and traveling

Erika Hung – Dietitian

Erika is a qualified Accredited Practicing Dietitian who is passionate about empowering her patients to make their health goals a reality. She is dedicated to working with her patients, taking the time to understand their individual lifestyles and creating small achievable health behaviour changes that they can sustain lifelong.

Erika has experience in helping her patients manage a range of health conditions through their diets, in particular chronic diseases such as T2DM, heart disease and weight management. During her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, she has also grown a strong interest in plant-based nutrition, gut health and women’s health. With a passion for continuously learning, she is committed to ensuring she is up-to-date with the latest evidence in her areas of speciality and the ever-evolving field of nutrition. She greatly enjoys translating the complex scientific nutrition information she learns into personalised, easy-to-digest and practical advice for her patients. Erika also enjoys spreading her knowledge in food and nutrition through group education sessions, cooking classes and short blog articles.

In her spare time, Erika enjoys getting outdoors, taking long walks and finding new cafes to enjoy food with her family and friends. She believes the social settings and the people we enjoy food with are equally important as the nutrients within them and hopes to carry this belief through the way she practices.

Andrew Roy – Physiotherapist

Andrew has graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2012, with previous degrees in Psychology (UNSW) and Kinesiology (SFU, Canada). Andrew has varied experience in the world of Physiotherapy and injury management, he has worked in Private Practice’s in both Australia and Canada as well as Nursing Homes, Occupational Health and in various sporting teams. Having completed numerous course such as Dry Needling, Shoulder and Hip pain, Facial Mobility, Andrew utilizes a wide variety of techniques to suit each patient’s needs. Andrew approaches patients in a holistic manner, looking at the whole biomechnical chain to determine the casual factors if an injury not just treating the area of “pain”.His special interests include shoulders, knees and acute or chronic spinal pain.

Dr Parvani Pinnewala – Registered Psychologist(Aus) Clinical Psychologist (SL) BScPsych.Hons(UK),PhD(Aus.),CPsychol(UK),MAPS(Aus.)

Parvani is a Clinical Psychologist with British education and training. She has Chartered Psychologist status in the UK with Divisional membership in Clinical Psychology. She is also a registered clinical psychologist in Sri Lanka. Her PhD in Psychology (Macquarie University) examined women’s trauma, resilience and recovery processes. She has over 17 years of clinical experience treating mainly adults, adolescents and the elderly.

Parvani received the Elaine Dignan Award from the Australian Psychological Society in 2005 for significant contributions to women and psychology, in recognition of her clinical, teaching, training and advocacy work. Parvani works with a range of problems including depression, stress, adjustment issues, anxiety (social anxiety, phobias, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive and compulsive behaviours and separation anxiety), bereavement and grief, women’s issues, self-esteem, issues in confidence and personal development, trauma and recovery, anger management, relational issues (including difficulties in interpersonal, couple or family issues), emotion regulation issues, sexuality and gender identity, acculturation, serious mental illness (including bipolar and psychosis), personality disorders, pain management and addictions. She is able to provide short-term interventions and longer-term therapy based on the client’s problems and complexity of issues. Parvani incorporates person-centred, cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, solution-focused and other evidenced based approaches to help clients resolve their issues effectively, recover and bring about beneficial changes.

Specialising in Women’s Issues, Trauma Work, Pain Management, Grief and Sexuality and Gender Identity. Parvani is also an approved practitioner in the Work and Development Order (WDO) scheme.
